In 2013, my boys Théodore and Louis were born. Although they are twins, they couldn't be more different. While Louis loves mathematics and could count from morning until evening, Théodore is a creative soul, constantly drawing and creating. I've long realized that these two brothers learn in completely different ways, at different paces, and are motivated by entirely different things.

Yet our traditional school system continues to operate as if all children learn in the same way. It's built on the assumption that knowledge should be delivered uniformly to everyone, and those who don't keep up are somehow lacking. This one-size-fits-all approach worked, perhaps, in an industrial economy where everyone needed to perform the same tasks. But that world no longer exists.

When I founded Flow School, it was out of this fundamental conviction: education must change. Not because the old system is "bad," but because it's outdated. The 21st century demands different skills, different ways of thinking, and different approaches to learning.

What does education mean to me?

To me, education is not about filling children's heads with facts. Education is about helping each child discover their own potential, develop their thinking abilities, and find meaning in what they learn. It's about creating an environment where learning becomes a natural consequence of pursuing something meaningful.

I believe that every child has unique talents, interests, and ways of learning. The role of a teacher and school is to help children discover these talents and nurture them. This requires flexibility, personalization, and a genuine understanding of each child as an individual.

At Flow, we've built a learning environment based on project-based learning, where children work on real problems, collaborate with peers, and see the direct relevance of what they're learning. Mathematics becomes important when you need it to build something or solve a real problem. Writing develops when you have something meaningful to express. Science comes alive when you're investigating something you're genuinely curious about.

This is why Flow exists. Because I believe we can do better than our current system. Because I know my own children need more. And because I believe that when education truly resonates with who children are and what they care about, learning becomes joyful and natural.
